Creamy Pink Ragi Porridge

Made with

Sprouted RagiBeetroot Powder

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Live Indianly Sprouted Ragi Mix
  • 180 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp Live Indianly Beetroot Powder
  • 2 tbsp mashed banana or steamed apple puree

Method

  1. Mix the ragi mix with a little water until lump-free.
  2. Add the remaining water and cook on medium flame, stirring continuously.
  3. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the ragi is fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the Beetroot Powder during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Turn off the heat and mix in banana or apple puree.
  6. Cool to a safe serving temperature before feeding.

Texture tip

  • 6-7 months: Keep it smooth and spoonable.
  • 8-9 months: Make it slightly thicker as baby handles texture.
  • 10+ months: Serve thicker with soft fruit mashed in.

Nutritionist note

Sprouted ragi is a familiar calcium-rich grain, and a small amount of beetroot powder makes the porridge visually inviting.

Parent tip

Add fruit puree after cooking so the fresh fruit taste stays mild and pleasant.

Parent note: introduce new foods one at a time, adjust texture for your baby’s readiness, and check with your pediatrician for allergies, medical conditions, or feeding concerns.
