Live Indianly mobile app privacy
Mobile app privacy update: 8 August 2026
This section supplements the website privacy policy above. It explains how the Live Indianly mobile app (com.liveindianly.app) handles personal data. If this section and the general website policy differ for app-specific processing, this section applies to the mobile app.
Who the app is for
The app is intended for adult parents and caregivers in India, not for use by children. A parent or caregiver may enter limited information about a child to receive age-appropriate ideas and keep feeding records.
Mobile app data we handle
Depending on the features used, the app may handle:
- Account and contact data: name, email address, phone number, Shopify customer ID and related account identifiers.
- Child profile data: child nickname, age in months and feeding goals selected by the parent or caregiver.
- Feeding and app data: favourite recipes and products, meal plans, foods marked Try later, Tried, Liked, Rejected or Reaction noticed, feeding-history entries, and reaction or context notes entered by the user.
- Shopping and order data: cart selections and eligible online order or purchase history associated with a Shopify customer account.
- Support data: contact details and messages submitted when asking for help.
- Usage and technical data: authentication and app-open events and, when analytics is enabled, limited usage events and pseudonymous device or account identifiers used to understand app performance and use.
- Device-stored data: account session, favourites, child profiles and food logs, meal plans, cart lines and language choice. Signed-in favourites, child profiles, logs and meal plans may also sync with the connected Shopify customer account.
How we use mobile app data
- to sign users in and keep their account connected;
- to create and sync child profiles, favourites, meal plans and food logs;
- to provide age- and preference-based recipe and meal ideas;
- to show the cart, open Shopify checkout and display eligible order history;
- to respond to support requests;
- to maintain security, diagnose problems and improve the app; and
- to comply with applicable law and resolve disputes.
Live Indianly provides general complementary-feeding information. The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Reaction notes and feeding history are user-entered records and are not medical diagnoses. Parents and caregivers should consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or feeding concerns.
Storage and service providers
- Shopify provides the product catalogue, cart and checkout, customer-account sign-in and eligible order history. Signed-in favourites, child profiles, meal plans and food logs may be stored in customer metafields so they can sync across devices.
- The user's device stores app data locally so features can work between sessions and during temporary connection failures.
- PostHog may process limited usage and technical events when analytics is enabled in the production app. Session replay, advertising tracking and precise-location collection are not enabled by Live Indianly's mobile analytics configuration.
These providers may process data outside India. We use appropriate contractual and legal safeguards where required.
Advertising and disclosure
The mobile app does not contain third-party advertising and does not use an advertising identifier. We do not use child profile or feeding data for third-party advertising. We disclose data only to service providers needed to operate the app and shopping experience, and when required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and synced app data while an account is active or as needed to provide the requested service. Device-stored data remains until it is cleared by the app, the user clears the app's storage or the app is uninstalled.
After a verified account-deletion request, we delete or anonymise the customer account and associated Live Indianly app data under our control within 30 days, unless applicable law permits or requires a longer period. We may retain limited purchase, transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute and deletion-request records where required by law. Retained records are restricted and are not used for marketing.
To request deletion, use the in-app Delete account option or visit liveindianly.com/pages/delete-account.
Choices, security and contact
Subject to applicable law, users may ask to access, correct or delete personal data, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or raise a privacy concern. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data, although no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
For mobile app privacy questions or requests, email hello@liveindianly.com.
