Sweet Potato Sprouted Ragi Waffles

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Live Indianly Sweet Potato Sprouted Ragi Mix
  • 1/2 ripe banana, mashed
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 egg (optional, if already introduced)

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients into a thick batter.
  2. Lightly grease a preheated waffle maker.
  3. Pour in the batter and cook until soft, fully set, and lightly golden.
  4. Allow to cool before cutting into baby-friendly strips.

Texture tip

  • 8-9 months: Keep the waffles soft enough to mash easily between your fingers.
  • 10-12 months: Cut into strips or small pieces for self-feeding.
  • Toddlers: Pair with plain yogurt or fruit for a fuller breakfast.

Nutritionist note

A waffle maker turns the same everyday mix into a soft shape that is easy for little hands to hold.

Parent tip

Use egg only if it has already been introduced, and cook until fully set while keeping the waffle soft rather than crisp.

Parent note: introduce new foods one at a time, adjust texture for your baby’s readiness, and check with your pediatrician for allergies, medical conditions, or feeding concerns.
