Brown Rice & Moong Dal

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Live Indianly Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 tsp ghee

Method

  1. Add the Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix and water to a pan.
  2. Cook on low flame until soft and fully cooked.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree and mix well.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Stir in ghee and serve warm.

Texture tip

  • 6-7 months: Blend until smooth and lump-free if needed.
  • 7-8 months: Mash lightly and keep a slightly thicker texture.

Nutritionist note

Pumpkin gets its bright orange color from beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A.

You can substitute pumpkin with carrot or sweet potato puree for variety.
