Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Live Indianly Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- Steamed and mashed vegetables
- Breastmilk or formula (after cooling)
Method
- Add the Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix and water to a pan.
- Mix thoroughly until smooth and lump-free.
- Cook on a low to medium flame, stirring continuously.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until smooth and fully cooked.
- Turn off the heat and allow it to cool to a safe serving temperature.
- Add ghee if desired and serve warm.
Texture tip
- 6-7 months: Keep the porridge smooth and slightly runny.
- 8-9 months: Make slightly thicker and mix with mashed vegetables.
- 10+ months: Serve thicker and leave small soft lumps for texture practice.
