Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Live Indianly Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
  • 1/2 tsp ghee
  • Steamed and mashed vegetables
  • Breastmilk or formula (after cooling)

Method

  1. Add the Brown Rice & Moong Dal Mix and water to a pan.
  2. Mix thoroughly until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Cook on a low to medium flame, stirring continuously.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes until smooth and fully cooked.
  5. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool to a safe serving temperature.
  6. Add ghee if desired and serve warm.

Texture tip

  • 6-7 months: Keep the porridge smooth and slightly runny.
  • 8-9 months: Make slightly thicker and mix with mashed vegetables.
  • 10+ months: Serve thicker and leave small soft lumps for texture practice.
