Beetroot Whole Wheat Paratha

Made with

Beetroot Powder

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Live Indianly Beetroot Powder
  • Warm water, as needed
  • 1 tsp ghee

Method

  1. Mix whole wheat flour and Beetroot Powder.
  2. Add warm water little by little and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
  4. Roll small parathas and cook on a hot pan.
  5. Apply ghee and cook both sides until soft and fully cooked.
  6. Cool slightly and cut into strips or small pieces.

Texture tip

  • 10-12 months: Keep parathas soft and cut into easy-to-hold strips.
  • 12+ months: Tear into small pieces and serve with yogurt or dal.
  • Toddlers: Roll slightly thicker for a softer bite.

Nutritionist note

Whole wheat gives steady energy, and beetroot powder turns a familiar paratha into a colorful toddler food.

Parent tip

Avoid making the paratha crisp for younger babies; soft and moist is easier to manage.

Parent note: introduce new foods one at a time, adjust texture for your baby’s readiness, and check with your pediatrician for allergies, medical conditions, or feeding concerns.
