Banana Ragi Pancakes
Soft Sprouted Ragi and banana pancakes for babies practising self-feeding from 8m+.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Live Indianly Sprouted Ragi Mix
- 1/2 ripe banana, mashed
- 2-3 tbsp water
- Ghee for cooking
Method
- Mash the banana until smooth.
- Add the Sprouted Ragi Mix and water to make a thick batter.
- Heat a pan and lightly grease with ghee.
- Pour small pancakes onto the pan.
- Cook on both sides until fully set and lightly golden.
- Cut into finger-length strips or bite-sized pieces before serving.
Texture tip
- 8-9 months: Offer very soft finger-length strips that mash easily between your fingers.
- 10-12 months: Cut into smaller pieces for pincer-grip practice.
Nutritionist note
Mashed banana helps bind the ragi batter and keeps these pancakes naturally soft without refined sugar.
Parent tip
Cook on low heat so the centre sets fully while the pancakes stay soft.
Parent note: introduce new foods one at a time, adjust texture for your baby’s readiness, and check with your pediatrician for allergies, medical conditions, or feeding concerns.
