Avocado Ragi Pancake
A gentle ragi recipe for clean Indian baby food routines from 8m+.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Live Indianly Sprouted Ragi Powder
- 2 tbsp ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 small banana (optional, for natural sweetness)
- Water or pasteurized full-fat milk, as needed (milk for cooking only)
- 1/2 tsp ghee
Method
- Add the Sprouted Ragi Powder to a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocado until smooth.
- If using banana, mash it well and add it to the bowl.
- Gradually add water or the milk to make a smooth, lump-free batter.
- Heat a pan on low flame and grease lightly with ghee.
- Pour small pancakes onto the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles appear.
- Flip gently and cook until soft and fully cooked.
- Cool slightly before serving.
- Cut into strips or bite-sized pieces for self-feeding.
Texture tip
- 8-9 months: Cut into very small soft strips.
- 9-12 months: Serve as soft finger food.
