Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Live Indianly Whole Wheat and Almond Mix
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • Breastmilk or formula (optional)

Method

  1. Add Live Indianly Whole Wheat and Almond Mix and water to a pan.
  2. Mix well until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously.
  4. Once it begins to thicken, reduce to a low flame.
  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  7. Stir in breastmilk or formula if using.
  8. Serve warm.

Texture tip

  • 6-7 months: Add a little extra water for a thin, smooth consistency.
  • 8-9 months: Keep slightly thicker to encourage texture acceptance.
  • 10+ months: Serve thicker or mix with mashed fruits and vegetables.

Nutritionist note

Repeated exposure to different textures during the first year can help babies become more accepting of a variety of foods as they grow.

Parent tip

For added variety, mix in mashed banana, apple puree, pear puree, pumpkin puree, sweet potato puree, or avocado after cooking.
