Whole Wheat Almond Broccoli Porridge
A wheat-and-almond recipe for richer breakfast and snack routines from 8m+.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Live Indianly Whole Wheat & Almond Mix
- 2-3 small broccoli florets
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- Tiny pinch jeera powder (optional)
Method
- Wash the broccoli thoroughly and chop into small pieces.
- Steam or boil until very soft.
- Mash the broccoli smoothly or blend lightly for younger babies.
- Mix the Whole Wheat & Almond Mix with a little water to make a smooth paste.
- Heat the remaining water and slowly add the mixture while stirring continuously.
- Cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes until the porridge thickens.
- Add the mashed broccoli and mix well.
- Stir in ghee and jeera powder if using.
- Adjust the consistency with warm water if needed.
- Serve warm.
Texture tip
- 8-9 months: Blend until smooth if needed.
- 9-12 months: Leave tiny soft broccoli pieces.
