Spinach Paneer Cutlets

Spinach Paneer Cutlets

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup full-fat paneer made from pasteurized milk, grated
  • 1/2 medium potato, boiled and mashed
  • 5-6 spinach leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp steamed and grated carrot
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Tiny pinch jeera powder
  • Tiny pinch turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ghee

Method

  1. Steam the spinach for 1-2 minutes and chop finely.
  2. Boil and mash the potato.
  3. Steam the carrot and grate or mash it.
  4. Grate the paneer finely.
  5. Combine the paneer, potato, spinach, carrot, coriander, jeera powder, and turmeric powder.
  6. Mix into a soft dough.
  7. Shape into soft, adult-finger-length oblong cutlets.
  8. Heat a pan and grease with ghee.
  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly golden.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.

Texture tip

  • 9-10 months: Break into small soft pieces.
  • 10-12 months: Serve as finger foods for self-feeding.

Paneer provides protein and calcium, while spinach contributes iron and other essential nutrients for growing babies.

These cutlets pair well with plain full-fat yogurt made from pasteurized milk or a mild homemade mint-yogurt dip.
