Oats Raisin Porridge
A soft grain recipe with oats, makhana, or millet for nourishing 8m+ routines.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oats
- 5-6 black raisins
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp ghee
Method
- Wash the black raisins thoroughly.
- Soak them in warm water for 20-30 minutes until soft.
- Mash or blend into a smooth puree.
- Add the oats and water to a pan.
- Cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes until soft and creamy.
- Stir in the raisin puree.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add ghee and mix well.
- Adjust the consistency with warm water if needed.
- Serve warm.
Texture tip
- 8-9 months: Keep smooth and creamy.
- 9-12 months: Leave a little texture from the oats.

Black raisins are traditionally used in Indian homes to naturally sweeten foods and add iron.
