Oats Makhana Millet Vegetable Cheela

Made with

Oats Makhana Millet

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Live Indianly Oats Makhana Millet Mix
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped spinach
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • Water as needed
  • 1 tsp ghee

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Oats Makhana Millet Mix, carrot, spinach, yogurt, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water to form a thick pourable batter.
  3. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes so the mix absorbs moisture.
  4. Heat a tawa and lightly grease with ghee.
  5. Pour a small ladleful of batter and spread gently into a small cheela.
  6. Cook on medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drizzle a few drops of ghee around the edges.
  8. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  9. Cut into strips and serve.

Nutritionist note

Makhana (fox nuts) has been traditionally used in Indian households and adds a naturally light texture to meals.

Parent note: introduce new foods one at a time, adjust texture for your baby’s readiness, and check with your pediatrician for allergies, medical conditions, or feeding concerns.
