Egg Rice Mash
A soft protein-rich egg rice mash for babies ready for more family-style meals.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp cooked rice
- 1 whole egg
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- 1-2 tbsp warm water or breastmilk/formula (optional)
Method
- Heat ghee in a small pan over low flame.
- Crack the egg into the pan and scramble until fully cooked and soft.
- Break the scrambled egg into tiny pieces.
- Add the cooked rice and mix well.
- Mash using the back of a spoon.
- Add warm water or breastmilk/formula if a softer consistency is needed.
- Serve warm.
Texture tip
- 9-10 months: Mash well with tiny egg pieces.
- 10-12 months: Leave slightly more texture for chewing.
