Broccoli Paneer Pasta

Broccoli Paneer Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat pasta
  • 1/4 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup full-fat paneer made from pasteurized milk, grated
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Tiny pinch jeera powder
  • Tiny pinch black pepper powder
  • Water for cooking pasta

Method

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. Cook the whole wheat pasta until soft and drain.
  3. Wash and chop the broccoli into very small florets.
  4. Steam the broccoli for 5-7 minutes until soft.
  5. Mash the broccoli lightly with a fork.
  6. Heat ghee in a pan over low flame.
  7. Add garlic, if using, and saute for 20-30 seconds.
  8. Add the steamed broccoli and cook for 1 minute.
  9. Stir in the grated paneer.
  10. Add the jeera powder and black pepper powder.
  11. Add the cooked pasta and mix gently.
  12. Add 1-2 tbsp warm water if needed.
  13. Cook for another minute and serve warm.

Texture tip

  • 12-18 months: Chop pasta into small pieces and mash the broccoli well.
  • 18M+: Leave broccoli slightly chunky to encourage chewing.

Broccoli contains vitamin C, which helps the body absorb iron from foods like whole wheat pasta and paneer.

Parent tip

For extra nutrition, stir in 1/4 tsp Live Indianly Moringa Powder after cooking and mix well before serving.
